B.Think Tank is an architectural practice based in Turin, Italy. It deals with domesticity, built environment, territory, and landscape.
B.Think Tank is a fluid community of architects and planners. It fosters a transdisciplinary, relational, collaborative approach to architecture. Its scope is to establish sustainable spatial infrastructures, respecting nature, existing spatial qualities, and anthropic systems.
B. Think Tank supports groups and individuals' agency to build and promote enjoyable environments, architecture, and cities. It aims to foster collaborative work, promote a culture of sharing, empower associations and initiatives of public interest.
Niccolò Suraci is co-founder of B. Think Tank. He holds a Ph.D. in architecture at Politecnico di Torino and is an adjunct professor of architectural theory at the University of Naples. He collaborated with several architectural practices, including Carlo Ratti Associati, BAM!, BDRbureau, and Atelier Mobile. His research investigates the relationship between architectural design and capitalization processes, focusing on migration's role in shaping the contemporary European built environment.
Alberto Geuna is co-founder of B. Think Tank. He holds a master's degree from Politecnico di Torino and the Berlage, TU Delft, Netherlands. He worked in various practices throughout Europe, including Sauerbruch Hutton and Lacaton & Vassal. Currently a Ph.D. student at Politecnico di Milano, his research focuses on community living and the relationship between institutional care and collective living.
Giulia La Delfa is a Turin-based architect and a Ph.D. candidate at Politecnico di Torino. She is co-founder of B. Think Tank. She is part of the design-build association Atelier Mobile, for whom she developed a contribution to the 2018 exhibition ‘999. Domande sull'abitare contemporaneo' at La Triennale di Milano. Her studies focus on living space and the domestic landscape's definition through postwar Italy's social and economic changes.
Giuseppe Mastrangelo is an architect based in L'Aquila. Specialized in restoration projects, he has been collaborating with the office Nardis Architetti since 2014. Before graduating in architecture at Politecnico di Torino and Università di Roma Tre, he obtained a bachelor's degree in aesthetic philosophy at Università di Bologna (2008). A partner of B. Think Tank since 2017. He is active in promoting initiatives aimed at protecting and enhancing environmental assets in Central and Southern Italy.
Quirino Spinelli is an architect and Ph.D. Urbanism. He studied architecture at Roma Tre University, Politecnico di Torino, and IUAV University of Venice, where he got a Ph.D. in Urbanism in the school of doctoral studies founded by Bernardo Secchi. Since 2014 his research focuses on current living conditions in the European city. Active in professional practice since 2012, he is part of B. Think Tank since 2017, where he deals with urban design and research and development projects.
Luca Secci. Born in Sardinia, he graduated from the Polytechnic of Torino in Architecture for Sustainable Design with honors. Following study experiences in Chile, Brazil, and Colombia, his masters' thesis dealt with the contemporary Latin American city, focusing on the relationship between architectural design and infrastructure.
Cristiano Tosco is an architect based in Turin. He studied Architecture between Torino and Weimar and gathered professional experience working in various offices between Leipzig, Torino, and Napoli. He is currently a Ph.D. student at Politecnico di Torino. He is passionate about the material aspects of designing, and he is often engaged in physical models, painting, and self-building activities.
