BTT studio is a design practice based in Turin. It deals with architecture and the city; it explores relationships between home, built environment, territory, and landscape.
Niccolò Suraci is co-founder of B. Think Tank and PhD at Politecnico di Torino. Over the past five years he collaborated with several practices including Carlo Ratti Associati, BAM!, BDRbureau and Atelier Mobile. His research investigates the relationship between architectural design and capitalization processes, focusing on the role of migration in shaping the contemporary European built environment.
Alberto Geuna is co-founder of B. Think Tank. He holds a masters degrees from Politecnico di Torino and from the Berlage, TU Delft. He worked in various practices throughout Europe, including Sauerbruch Hutton and Lacaton & Vassal. A PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano, his research focuses on community living and the relationship between institutions, regulations and dwelling.
Giulia La Delfa is a Torino-based architect and a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Torino. She is co-founder of B.Think Tank. She is part of the design-build association Atelier Mobile, for whom she developed a contribution to the 2018 exhibition ‘999. Domande sull’abitare contemporaneo’ at La Triennale di Milano. Her studies are focused on living space and on the definition of domestic landscape through the social and economic changes of postwar Italy.
Giuseppe Mastrangelo is an architect based in L’Aquila. Specialized in restoration projects, he has been collaborating with the office Nardis Architetti since 2014. Before graduating in architecture at Politecnico di Torino and Università di Roma Tre, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in aesthetic philosophy at Università di Bologna (2008). A partner of B. Think Tank since 2017, he is active in promoting initiatives aimed at the protection and enhancement of environmental assets.
Quirino Spinelli is an architect and Ph.D. Urbanism. He studied architecture at Roma Tre University, Polytechnic of Turin and IUAV University of Venice, where he got a Ph.D. in Urbanism in the former school of doctorate studies founded by Bernardo Secchi. Since 2014 his research focuses on contemporary living conditions in the European city. Active in professional practice since 2012, he is part of BTT since 2017, where he deals with urban design, and research and development projects.
Luca Secci. Born in Sardinia, he graduated from the Polytechnic of Torino in Architecture for Sustainable Design with honors. Following study experiences in Chile, Brazil and Colombia,
his thesis on the contemporary Latin American city, focusing on the relationship between architectural design and infrastructure. After some experiences in architectural firms and university collaborations, he currently works as an architect in Torino. His interest is directed to the research of new approaches to architectural design.
Cristiano Tosco is an architect based in Torino. He studied Architecture between Torino and Weimar and gathered professional experience working in various offices between Leipzig, Torino and Napoli. His efforts in the professional field are matched by the ones in the didactic and research activity. He is passionate about the material aspects of designing and he is often engaged in physical models, painting and self-building activities.
